Students completing this Web Quest are at Stage 1, Year 2.
The Wiki allows for the students to meet the concept objectives of:
1. The student understands the concept of location. 2. The student understands the physical and human characteristics of the environment. The Wiki gives students the opportunity to explore and gain knowledge about these certain topics: - The Weather - Antarctica - The Sahara Desert This Webquest consisted of 45 minutes each lesson - Children were to perform in this time, making sure they're having fun along the way! Students are able to have a deeper understanding whilst moving through the activities at their own pace in the classroom, allowing for the students to use their imaginations and to think outside the square whilst figuring out how to complete the tasks at hand. Gaining more knowledge about the different seasons and applying that knowledge to the climatic locations (Antarctica and the Sahara Desert) allows the children to build on their knowledge of what first started out as, just the seasons.
